What William Hill employees say about their job
-
Best thing
You get to make some friends with the friendly customers
Worst thing
Some shops are completely quiet and you could go hours without seeing anyone just completely by yourself, you get customers that treat you with 0 respect, some managers are ungrateful and don’t care about you at all, you have to watch every customer and “tag” them all on the computers to watch their spending to them ask them questions about their gambling and fill out forms with them even
Customer service representative at William Hill, June 2024
-
Best thing
The oyster travel card and the possibility of having a flexible rota
Worst thing
The Management (all upper management). All they care about are just figures and anything else that makes them look good. They don’t care about what staff have to go through and what shop staff have to deal with. They keep adding more things for the shop staff to do while other departments get to do less. Poor treatment of staff from customers on a daily basis and no work life balance. If you have a partner or a family then you won’t really be able to do much with them.
