Store managers are good but higher up not sure if they care enough

The people I work with, the discount is also good as it allows me to go there off shift and buy nice things I would otherwise avoid because they are too expensive and in my opinion not worth it.

The customers are often the most foul people you can come across and will sometimes even report you for doing your job right, just because they don't like it when you tell them no. People expect fast food service but we are not fast food. I am working basically a full time job even though it is only supposed to be part time and I rarely get days off. Hours have been cut meaning that we have to work a lot harder and customer service suffers because we are constantly in a rush when we shouldn't have to be.

The team. Everybody has a laugh, but that’s what makes the job. If you don’t get on with them then you will not enjoy this job at all. However, it’s really good for students because you can do any shifts really, it’s good pay at a young age and there are closing shifts for after college/Uni.

The customers. People in hospitality will know how the general public can be, but in a drive thru with an inside store at the same time… wow. Customers are a nighmare and the managers are good if you get along with them. But when they see you rushed off your feet but asking you to keep up with “targets” and cleaning it is stressful.

Short times to close the shop especially on busy days

The business higher up have no idea what goes on in stores and make decisions that massively impact the stores without much thought, for example hour cuts leading to stores being under staffed

Constant need for shifts to be covered because of people calling in sick or managers giving people extra shifts that they don't want and expecting employees to do these shifts and then if they refuse or simply can not do them other employees are guilt tripped into covering these shifts often on a very short notice (in the managers defence this could be solved by employing more staff but this is very difficult with the business higher up moving the goal posts when It comes to how many hours the store can give)
