    Don't get shift variations, the same people do the same shifts all the time. No matter how long your shift is, you only get 1 break or no breaks, get threatened by customers, managers are unapproachable, a lot of favouritism.

    Management are good but hypercritical and often lazy. Completely depends on store for the group. Head office are awful and clueless. Communication can be crap.

    The 10% discount and reasonably high pay. Discarding of the cardboard is pretty fun but they don’t have us do it as often as we should.

    We are very overworked. There is 5 people on weekend mornings to get the chiller and freezer delivery unloaded. Often there’s only 6 people running the store (including people needed for 4 tills). Often you have to run or do a poor job to keep up with timings. Often the deliveries are over ordered or ordered too so so we have far too much back stock and it take longer to put out as you have to juggle the items already on the shelf to fit the new item on.

    General people you work with and will know are nice and understanding. If you prove yourself to them by going the extra mile they will too.

    Head Office and main people in charge have no respect for what you do. Recently departed with a very poor redundancy experience. Impacted how we worked as people were leaving however my workplace wasn’t allowed too fill up the empty job spots as we were “over head count”.

    Shows how much higher ups understand how much work is needed to run stuff smh.
