  • Best thing

Discount and the team members that I work with

    Worst thing

    5.5

Customer advisor at Boots, October 2024

  • Best thing

It's less manual labour than working at a supermarket.

    Worst thing

Maintenance on utilities is not kept up. The air conditioning broke three years ago, and we regularly have to work in 25*c or higher temps. This is also above the safe storage temperature for some of our products.

    6.0

Customer assistant at Boots, August 2023

  • Best thing

Most of the girls I work with are very lovely and it is nice when you genuinely help a customer/patient with something they need

    Worst thing

The pharmacist I work with has been horrendous to me from day one. People are quitting left, right, and centre and the company will not hire enough new people to pick up the slack. We are constantly being asked to provide more services while being critically understaffed and this leads to patients being extremely rude to us all the time. Upper management make absolutely no effort to support us and most of the ships I have worked in are absolutely not meeting patient safety standards and are so horribly disorganised and behind on workload

    7.3

Pharmacy dispenser at Boots, March 2023

  • Best thing

Most of the team that i work with are amazing and very understanding of any problems that i may have. As well as this the pay is good.

    Worst thing

yes the pay is good - when i get it all given to me. i’ve been underpaid several times in a row. There’s an unbalanced work load from shift to shift. Sometimes you have a million jobs to do, the next shift your stood behind tills for 4 hours.

    6.6

Customer advisor at Boots, March 2022

  • Best thing

Good people (in my team), decent environment

    Worst thing

colleagues you’ve never met will pull you up on issues and not actually give clear advise on what’s wrong. Training is rushed. Holidays are very hard to book, we work 3 weekends and one late shift a month and can’t book weekends or late shifts off (a late shift is the only time we get a full weekend off). You barely ever get two days off in a row.

    5.5

Customer advisor at Boots, February 2022

  • Best thing

Being paid at the end of each month.

    Worst thing

Managers not being proper managers, the staff treating each other as though back in school. Colleagues not acting their age, bullying each other, the atmosphere in the workplace, mental health problems that they cause. Not having any mental health training.

    7.5

Pharmacy technician at Boots, August 2021

  • Best thing

The pay and the other staff

    Worst thing

Managers, and you have to look at your own back as if a manager says anything to you and it isn’t recorded or written down by another person it didn’t happen and they will come back and stab you in the back
