  inexperienced manager, assistant manager was a bully and acted like the manager. No positive recognition, only negative. Was expected to complete tasks in an impossibly short amount of time. short staffed, constantly asking people to work overtime.

  Continuous push down from above, working unreasonable and illegal hours to cover the fact they don’t want to hire enough staff, management never get their own breaks and half the time the staff are younger too which isn’t fair in anyone.

  Routine is always the same as long as your willing to put in the hard work it is enjoyable. Starting early to finish early is nice but working closes non stop can be depressing. Especially when it isn't rotated fairly.

  Will never be able to take your break, and if you are lucky enough to, it will definitely be interrupted within the first 5 minutes.
  Any complaints made to the manager or area manager will be ignored.
  Be asked to cover other stores at short notice.
  Shifts will change and you will not be told.
  Will constantly cut back hours, to the point where you are working 1 on 1 at busy times.

  Farmfoods is a relatively small retailer in comparison to its competitors, which means progressing in the business is pretty easy as long as you work hard. Other benefits of working for Farmfoods are the amazing and loyal staff, consistently working extremely hard to make shifts run smoothly. The 15% discount isn’t bad either.

  Worst thing

  Shifts vary a lot per week, meaning it can be hard to alter your personal body clock to meet the needs of the business. Some weeks I will do 4 open shifts, and other weeks I’ll just do close shifts. The business don’t tend to listen to their staff and make decisions that none of us really appreciate or understand and this leads to a lot of annoyance. Prices are also rising and the 15% discount essentially brings prices down to their original prices about three weeks ago. This should be considered when prices rise imo.
