What people are saying about pay at Boots
-
Best thing
It’s so good for progression. You get so many opportunities to shadow other teams. They also mainly hire people that already work there for different roles.
Worst thing
The pay isn’t the most amazing but the environment there is worth it

Best thing
Pay is good for students, most of the team are really great people to work with.
Worst thing
Some times felt half trained in certain areas and then blamed when made a mistake if not taught before. Management can also be fussy on talking even if you’re still doing the work and talking about work.

Best thing
The pay, easy enough to swap shifts/take holidays
Worst thing
Lack of flexibility with contract while I’m at university, no HR that is accessible to employees (has to go through a manager)

Best thing
It’s nice to be able to help people and it’s satisfying to do good sales.
The pay is decent.Worst thing
I work as the only person in the whole boots store on SATURDAYS, besides the 1/2 people working in the shop pharmacy, they are to busy to assist me. The amount to do is unmanageable and customers and constantly frustrated by long queues and the lack of assistance, and all is taken out on me. The shoplifting is insane and make the environment feel very unsafe and incredibly unpleasant. No security guard and the manager of the store is barely around leaving her employed staff rushed of their feet. The shop is dingy, kinda smelly and filthy despite my best efforts to clean it in the little time I’m not dealing with rude customers.
