This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a commissioning project, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the care standards and creating a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll help make a real difference in the lives of our residents, supporting them with their daily routines and promoting their independence while providing a high level of person-centred care. Whether you join the day or night team, you’ll be supported by a strong clinical leadership team, and your contribution will be valued as we set the standard for excellence right from the start.

Ongoing training, clinical updates, and genuine career progression opportunities within a growing, dynamic organisation that values your skills and ambitions
What You Will Do
Empower Independence: Assist residents with their daily routines, such as dressing, eating, and mobility, promoting autonomy and encouraging them to remain as independent as possible.
Provide Personalised Care: Follow each resident’s personalised care plan, ensuring they receive the care and support they need while respecting their preferences and individuality.
Support Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, reporting any changes to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting in communication with relatives or healthcare professionals when needed.
Champion Dignity and Respect: Ensure that each resident’s dignity is upheld, making sure they feel valued and respected in every interaction.
Encourage Social Interaction: Help residents to interact with others, creating a warm and social atmosphere within the care home to combat loneliness.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Work with colleagues to ensure clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to call bells and emergencies as needed.
Support Nutrition and Hydration: Assist residents who require help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and monitored.
Bring Joy to Residents: Above all, contribute to a positive and happy atmosphere by brightening residents’ days and making them smile every day.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with transferable skills and a passion for care.
A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and helping them live independent, fulfilling lives.
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with residents, with integrity and respect in everything you do.
A strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider care team.

What Care Concern Homecare employees say about their job
-
Best thing
The best thing is when we have a good team of full staff , which means we can spend time with residents and do things with them, one to one .
Worst thing
The worst is not knowing what you are walking into and our floor is the forgotten floor, if we are under staffed told to get on with it but its the residents that suffer as well as staff and its not fair on the residents
