What Loungers employees say about their job
-
Best thing
the people i work with
Worst thing
the stress
Supervisor at Loungers, March 2025
-
Best thing
Despite stress and some pressures, there is a fairly laid back atmosphere. Mistakes are just seen as mistakes, and there is room for them to be made. A kitchen that doesn't allow room to blow off steam e.g. swearing, or lewd humour, is like a pressure cooker that doesn't have an outlet. I feel as though I have room to speak my mind, while also getting the job done.
Worst thing
Zero hour contracts for the non-management staff. Based on sales, and the forecast, staff can have their hours cut. This means that, regardless of whether or not the kitchen needs cleaning, or washing up needs doing by KPs, you can have them cut out from their shift, or sent home early.
