Job Description

Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Department: Gallery All-day-dining, Food & Beverage

Inspired and supported by: Restaurant General Manager

Your purpose will be:

To be responsible for the efficient running and consistency of service, according to the departmental brand standards and hotel policies. Help to train and develop the team to meet all standards required. Always take ownership of any issues that occur on your designated shift in the all-day dining.

You will be accountable for:

  • Organising the team day to day in our outlets to ensure an efficient and smooth dining service
  • Holding motivating team briefings to set each service up for success
  • Training, empowering and inspiring your team to be extraordinary in their service
  • Always being present on the floor during service and getting hands on to assist when needed
  • Ensuring that all operating standards are met to so that extraordinary service levels are achieved
  • Supporting the HOD in ensuring financial goals are being achieved and applying corrective actions if needed
  • Ensuring there is good communication day to day within your team and across the hotel
  • Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to Savoy Lounge, taking appropriate actions to improve service and address recurring issues.
  • Assist in preparing reports and providing data for management review.
  • Monitor inventory levels of the department, such as cutlery, glassware, and China.
  • To be fully competent in cash handling, credit card payments and room payments.
  • To meet and greet all guests whilst demonstrating exemplary, up to date knowledge of the various menu offerings to support the team on the floor.
  • To ensure the department is kept at all times neat and organised.
  • To participate in and attend regular communication meetings and training sessions.
  • To be able to make requisitions in line with department stock levels.
  • Always be an ambassador to the Savoy and respond to guest feedback and enquiries in a timely manner.
