Part-Time Manager/3rd Key Holder Opportunity

About the Role

As a 3rd Keyholder at Claire's, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting your Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the achievement of retail store targets by driving sales
  • In the absence of any other management they may open and close the store and are responsible at that point for ensuring that the store trades safely and legally
  • Delivering sales through friendly and efficient customer service
  • Ensuring our customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience
  • Demonstrating Claire's products
  • Assisting customers with their queries using your product knowledge
  • Assisting with processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, stock takes, markdowns and promotions
  • Ear piercing (you will receive full training)
  • Ensuring the store looks presentable and inviting to our customers

Qualifications - External

About You
  • Some high school required
  • Minimum 1 year retail experience
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understands the importance of Customer Service
  • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts
  • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting Customers
  • Ability to operate POS system

    The job itself is fun, helping children and adults find what they are looking for and doing piercings. Most of the other employees are fun to work with as well.

    The lack of communication within the store and from higher up. The expectation is too much as there is a lot to do sometimes and upper management expect it to be done with limited hours and staff, making it impossible. 1 specific employee.

    the management are so rude and have don’t care about staffs mental health. can’t have a day off when you’re sick. find out the rota a few days in advance so can’t have a life outside of work. constantly bang on about having no staff but give us barely any hours. absolutely no training besides piercing training - and that was the absolute bare minimum. myself (supervisor) and one other supervisor had to run the store for 3 months because we had no manager/staff. get 0 training and then get warnings/written discussions left right and centre for doing things wrong. constant messages in group chats after work into the middle of the night.

    My team, my managers, head office. I was disrespected on multiple occasions by multiple people who I worked with. I had poor mental health and there was no support at all. All the staff would do is talk badly about others who worked there. We never had a semi permanent/ permanent manager, each one was fired and often supervisors would have to take up that role. Horrible first job.
