    3.5

FOH team member at Mitchells & Butlers, February 2024

  • Best thing

The team I work with daily are brilliant - fun, helpful and a good bunch of people. Some of the managers are great too and always help and get stuck in. Discount is great especially as a student!

    Worst thing

The management are difficult about silly things. For example I’m a full time student doing 5days a week/35 hours and then then expect me to work every Saturday and Sunday on top of that meaning I wouldn’t get a day off for weeks. I’ve made it clean my studies come first but that means nothing to them. I have never worked with anyone as lazy, poorly mannered or unhelpful as one of my managers is but the manager above her is worse. In a review session about my work ethic I was never told a single positive, only negatives and after discussing this with my team they were disappointed and ashamed as they all feel I’m a brilliant team member who takes on the tasks others don’t want and cracks on with work. In general- management hugely lets the side down, we don’t get paid enough to get treated so badly by them and frankly the turn over of staff js so high mainly due to management not being flexible when there is definitely the ability to be. I’ve been there 6 months and I’ve seen multiple staff come and go in that short space of time.
