I have been the only mechanical fitter their since September, they expect you to do 10 men’s work and do the PPM reactive and audits on top of any specialist roles taken like Medi gas Ect management is clueless and unhelpful and have no people skills.

The freedom my employer gives me to be left to my own capabilities in the maintenance of my site, if i am unable to complete tasks then i am able to request contractors to complete works which will then be managed by my supervisor, there is a great relationship with staff and is very wlecoming environment

Communication is terrible sometimes in the aspect of not being told alot of things, if i tell my employer that some of the works asked of me are not in my job description they will agree however will still make me complete them due to the need to keep a happy relationship with the site staff, also no sick pay and lack of holidays, not being able to take holidays due to lack of staff, no staff replacements so we have to do double shifts if staff go on the sick rather then temporary cover, no wage rise for a while, lack of training and the vast requirements of the job, at some points you are a cleaner, joiner, plumber, painter and decorator etc, however we arent payed as much as the hourly rate given to some of those jobs.
